The police in Firozabad, India, launched a civil complaint platform using the Polygon (MATIC) network. In this way, they hope to create a database that cannot be deleted or altered by others. This is an initiative that seeks to deal with corruption and crime in the local police.
Via a series of tweets, Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon, announced the opening of the First Information Report (FIR) portal. This allows crime victims to register complaints against local police officers, without it being dismissed or manipulated by corrupt officials. .
How Did The Indian Police Initiative With Polygon (MATIC) Come About?
In his tweet, Nailwal claimed to be interested in the project, since he had grown up hearing stories of victims who did not obtain justice due to corruption.
